Concentrate and Root the Sudden Scattering Emotional Pattern of Shock  (sudden fright)

In this audio track Dr Chris talks you through a guided meditation  that brings awareness to the sudden scattering energy pattern  experienced with shock or fright. This meditation helps you experience a  more rooted and concentrated qi or energy pattern and a deeper sense of  relaxation to support your mental emotional health and well-being.

Emotions have a great influence on our health and well-being. In Chi Kung and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), emotions are often considered the root-cause of many health  problems. Good health is about good circulation of qi – the vital life  force that circulates and supports body function. When qi is impeded or  blocked, pain can result and disease can take root.

Emotions can be translated into energy patterns that can rise,  scatter, knot, weaken, sink, or drain the body’s qi or vital life force.  Emotions are normal but problems can arise when emotions become  excessive.  Awareness and prevention are the keys to greater health. 7  Emotions meditations can help you become aware of any unhealthy  emotional energy patterns. The meditations can be used as preventive  practices to redirect, balance and restore qi flow to better support  your health.

This 7 emotions meditative awareness guide is formatted as an audio  track that will talk you through a meditative process to relax and unify  the body, mind and breath. This meditation can help you develop a  deeper mind-body connection and bring balance to disturbing emotional  energy patterns. This self-care tool puts you in control. It allows you  to take preventive measures to better support your health. Continual  practice will help you develop a deeper sense of awareness about you and  your healthcare needs.

Overview on Shock

Additional Feelings: frightened, disordered, deranged, cannot settle, chaotic, unexpected and sudden.

Imbalance: unsettles qi, decimates qi, suddenly scatters qi

Corrective Therapeutic Action: descend, concentrate and root qi, strengthen the core/center.

Note: Differing from fear, shock has a sudden,  unexpected nature. Initially, shock affects the heart but persistent  long-term shock or fright becomes conscious fear and moves to adversely  impact the kidneys.

Shock expels the resident mind out of its place of shelter. The mind  resides in the Heart. Heart qi deficiency results. Kidneys are impacted  secondarily because Kidney essence is used to supplement and support  Heart qi.

Typical Symptoms:

  • Insomnia
  • Palpitations
  • Breathlessness
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Trauma
  • Deep sense of loss
  • Feeling disconnected
  • Feeling separation
  • Without a center or a root

Body Regions Influenced:

  • Head
  • Face
  • Heart
  • Kidney
  • Low back
  • Knees
  • legs
  • Ears
  • Tongue
  • Teeth
  • Hair
  • Bottom of Feet
  • Chest

Kidney TCM Function:

Determines strength of body, controls water and fluids, stores the  “Will” and “inherited constitution” in the form of “yuan qi” and  “jing-essence”, dominates growth and development, receives qi – helps  lungs with respiration.

Heart TCM Function:

Source of Shen or clear sight / higher level of sight, controls blood  in the vessels, houses the mind – spirit, consciousness, memory,  thinking, sleep.
